Agreement to these terms
By submitting a rental request through RentMe Orlando, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you agree to these Rental Terms and our Privacy Policy.
A vehicle-specific rental agreement may be presented before pickup. That agreement may contain additional terms concerning the assigned vehicle, authorized drivers, mileage, fuel, tolls, roadside assistance, damage, prohibited uses, and return requirements. If a vehicle-specific agreement conflicts with these general website terms, the signed vehicle-specific agreement controls for that rental.
1. Booking requests and availability
- Submitting the online form creates a booking request and booking reference. It does not guarantee that a particular vehicle is available.
- A rental is subject to vehicle availability, review of the submitted details, driver eligibility, required documentation, payment arrangements, and RentMe Orlando’s acceptance.
- We may contact you to verify details or offer a comparable vehicle when the selected vehicle is unavailable.
- The website currently requires a rental period of at least 3 days and no more than 365 days.
- Keep your private confirmation link and access token confidential.
2. Driver eligibility and documents
The primary driver must confirm that they are over 21 and must present a current, valid driver’s license and any other identification reasonably requested before taking possession of a vehicle. Additional age, license-history, payment, or documentation requirements may apply to a particular vehicle or rental.
Only drivers authorized in the final rental agreement may operate the vehicle. You must provide complete and accurate contact, address, license, driving-history, insurance, and intended-use information. We may decline or cancel a request when information is false, incomplete, unverifiable, or does not meet rental requirements.
3. Pricing and payment
The website estimate is calculated from the displayed daily rate, rental duration, selected insurance, refundable security deposit, ride-share selection, and applicable payment-method fee. Available payment preferences currently include credit card, debit card, Cash App, Zelle, and Apple Pay.
Cash App
The website currently calculates an additional 3% fee when Cash App is selected.
Final amount
The final amount may change if dates, vehicle, optional products, intended use, taxes, fees, or other rental details change before the agreement is completed.
Selecting a payment method in the booking form does not itself submit a card number or guarantee payment approval. Payment instructions and any authorization requirements will be provided separately. See Payment Options for details.
4. Refundable security deposit
The security deposit depends on the class of vehicle selected and may range from $200 to $600. If you indicate that the vehicle will be driven outside Florida, the security deposit applicable to the selected vehicle is doubled.
The deposit is refundable subject to the final rental agreement, timely return, vehicle condition, fuel and mileage requirements, tolls, citations, cleaning, damage, missing property, unpaid rental amounts, and other authorized charges. Refund timing may depend on the payment provider and completion of the return inspection.
5. Insurance selections
The booking form currently offers Own Insurance, Basic Coverage at $29 per started rental week, and Premium Coverage at $49 per started rental week. Selecting Own Insurance may require proof that your policy applies to the rental vehicle and intended use.
Labels and website estimates are summaries only. Coverage, exclusions, limits, deductibles, claims procedures, and eligibility are controlled by the applicable insurance or protection documents presented for the rental. Do not rely on the website summary as a complete insurance contract.
6. Vehicle use and customer responsibilities
- Use the vehicle lawfully, carefully, and only for the purpose and geographic area disclosed and authorized.
- Commercial ride-share use must be disclosed. The website currently adds $20 per rental day when ride-share use is selected.
- Do not allow an unauthorized, unlicensed, impaired, or otherwise ineligible person to operate the vehicle.
- Promptly report collisions, theft, damage, warning lights, mechanical problems, citations, and impoundment, and cooperate with reasonable documentation requests.
- Return the vehicle at the agreed location, date, and time and in the condition required by the final rental agreement.
- You remain responsible for tolls, parking charges, traffic violations, towing, impoundment, and other amounts assigned to your rental, subject to applicable law and the final agreement.
7. Late returns and vehicle recovery
A vehicle must be returned at the location, date, and time stated in the rental agreement unless RentMe Orlando approves an extension in advance. A late fee of $20 applies for each calendar day the vehicle remains overdue. This late fee is in addition to continuing rental charges and any other amounts authorized by the rental agreement or applicable law.
If the vehicle remains unreturned for 3 calendar days after the scheduled return date without an approved extension, RentMe Orlando may initiate lawful vehicle-recovery procedures. These procedures may include demanding return of the vehicle, using authorized recovery services, and contacting law enforcement where appropriate.
When the notice and other requirements of applicable Florida law have been satisfied, an overdue vehicle may be reported to law enforcement and listed as stolen. Nothing in this section permits a breach of the peace or any recovery action that is not authorized by law. The final rental agreement may include additional notices and procedures required by Florida law.
8. Changes, extensions, and cancellations
Changes and extensions require approval and may change availability, rates, fees, deposits, or insurance charges. Continuing to possess a vehicle beyond the authorized return time without approval is not an accepted extension.
Online cancellation requests are available only for eligible pending or confirmed bookings and must currently be submitted at least 48 hours before pickup. A request does not cancel the booking until RentMe Orlando reviews and confirms it. Review the Cancellation Policy for additional details.
9. Responsibility and applicable law
You are responsible for losses, charges, or claims allocated to you under the final rental agreement and applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
These website terms are governed by Florida law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce one provision is not a waiver of that provision.
