RentMe Orlando FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Get clear answers about booking a vehicle, payment, deposits, changes, approved use, and returns.

Booking and eligibility

Requests, confirmations, driver requirements, and rental duration.

Is an online booking automatically accepted?

No. Submitting the online form creates a booking request and booking reference. Vehicle availability, driver eligibility, documentation, payment arrangements, and RentMe Orlando’s approval must still be confirmed.

What are the requirements to rent a vehicle?

The primary driver must be over 21 and present a current, valid driver’s license and any other identification, insurance, or payment documentation requested for the rental. Additional requirements may apply to a particular vehicle, and only drivers authorized in the final rental agreement may operate it.

When will I receive my booking information?

After a successful submission, the website displays a private confirmation page with your booking reference and details. RentMe Orlando also sends information to the email address entered in the booking form. Check your spam folder and contact us if the message does not arrive.

What is the minimum rental period?

The current website requires a rental period of at least 3 days and no more than 365 days. Availability and approval still apply to the selected dates.

Pricing and payment

Payment methods, deposits, insurance, and displayed fees.

Do I pay when I submit the booking form?

No. The form records your preferred payment method but does not collect a complete card number or complete a charge. RentMe Orlando confirms any payment or authorization instructions separately before or at pickup.

Which payment methods can I select?

The current booking form offers credit card, debit card, Cash App, Zelle, and Apple Pay as payment preferences. Acceptance and any required authorization are confirmed separately.

How much is the refundable security deposit?

The base security deposit depends on the selected vehicle class and may range from $200 to $600. If the vehicle will be driven outside Florida, the applicable base deposit is doubled.

What insurance options are shown online?

The booking form currently offers Own Insurance, Basic Coverage at $29 per started rental week, and Premium Coverage at $49 per started rental week. Proof and eligibility may be required, and the applicable coverage documents control all terms, exclusions, limits, and deductibles.

Are there payment-method fees?

The website currently adds 3% when Cash App is selected. It does not currently add a separate credit-card fee. The final amount may change when rental details change or other authorized charges apply.

Changes and cancellations

Modifications, cancellations, and approved extensions.

Can I modify my booking?

You may request changes to dates, locations, vehicle class, insurance, intended use, or authorized drivers. A request is not effective until RentMe Orlando approves it, and the rental price, availability, fees, deposit, or insurance charges may change.

Is there an administration fee for a modification?

RentMe Orlando does not add a separate administration fee solely for reviewing or approving a modification. Changes to the actual rental details may still change the amount due.

How do I request a cancellation?

Use My Bookings with the booking reference and matching email, then select Request cancellation if the booking is eligible. Online requests must currently be submitted at least 48 hours before pickup, and the booking remains active until RentMe Orlando confirms cancellation.

What if I need to keep the vehicle longer?

Request and receive an approved extension before the authorized return time. Continuing to possess the vehicle without approval is not an extension and may result in continuing rental charges, late fees, and lawful recovery action.

During your rental

Vehicle use, out-of-state travel, ride-share, and returns.

Can I drive outside Florida?

Out-of-state driving must be disclosed and authorized. When it is selected, the applicable base security deposit for the vehicle class is doubled.

Can I use the vehicle for Uber, Lyft, or other ride-share work?

Commercial ride-share use must be disclosed and approved. The website currently adds $20 per rental day when ride-share use is selected.

What happens if the vehicle is returned late?

A $20 late fee applies for each calendar day the vehicle remains overdue, in addition to continuing rental charges and other authorized amounts. If the vehicle remains unreturned for 3 calendar days without an approved extension, RentMe Orlando may begin lawful recovery procedures.

What should I do after a collision, theft, damage, or mechanical problem?

Contact RentMe Orlando promptly, follow emergency and law-enforcement requirements where appropriate, protect the vehicle from further damage, and cooperate with reasonable reporting and documentation requests.
